1994 Porsche 911 964 Turbo

About This Vehicle

THE TURBO THAT ARRIVED JUST BEFORE EVERYTHING CHANGED.

By 1993, the Porsche 993 was already approaching. Yet before closing the 964 chapter, Porsche gave its Turbo the engine it should always have had.

The result was the 911 Turbo 3.6.

Its air-cooled 3.6 litre flat-six produced 360 PS and 520 Nm, delivered through a single turbocharger to the rear wheels. No all-wheel drive. No electronic safety net trying to disguise the physics. Just wide rear bodywork, serious boost and the unmistakable whale-tail silhouette.

This yellow example is visually difficult to ignore, but the interesting detail is inside.

The auction information identifies a six-speed manual transmission. The factory Turbo 3.6 used a five-speed gearbox, meaning this car must be understood as an individually modified example, not casually presented as completely standard.

For SPI, that distinction matters.

Before acquisition, we would establish which gearbox was installed, who completed the conversion, whether the installation was properly engineered, and whether the original components and supporting documentation remain with the car.

Because rarity attracts attention. Provenance determines value.

Would you choose the original five-speed specification, or a properly documented six-speed conversion?
